ASEAN Delegation of Medical Experts visits Peking University Third Hospital

Peking University, October 15, 2019: On October 15, a delegation of 28 senior managers and experts from medical schools and hospitals from 9 ASEAN countries visited Peking University Third Hospital. They were warmly welcomed by Qiao Jie, president of Peking University Third Hospital, and Song Chunli, vice president of the hospital, and other heads of the functional departments.
On behalf of the hospital, President Qiao delivered a welcome speech and briefly introduced the hospital. Delegates from ASEAN countries then talked about the development of their respective hospitals, and discussed with experts from Peking University Third Hospital on issues concerning the scientific research cooperation, the geriatric disease management, and the education of overseas students.
The delegation also visited the medication consultation clinic and other research centers in the hospital. While visiting, delegates showed great interest in the hospital’s information management and its clinical application of 3D Printing.

The delegation just came back from the launching ceremony of the China-ASEAN University Consortium on Medicine and Health, a consortium aiming at promoting the development of regional medical education and medical research and further improving the health of people in the region.
