Peking University, May 10, 2013: Peking University (PKU) President Wang Enge met with Park In-kook, president of the Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS) on May 6.

President Wang expressed thanks to KFAS for the support for PKU and its branding intellectual project, Beijing Forum, in the past ten years.
Wang affirmed the achievements and influence of the Forum, expecting more progress in the tenth session to be held this November.
PKU Vice president Li Yansong and Beijing Forum’s Secretary-General Yan Jun introduced the preparation for the coming Forum, the theme of which had been identified as "The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All — Retrospect and Prospect."
The establishment work of the penal sessions has been launched, with invitations being sent to prospective attendees all around the world. As for the tenth anniversary, an additional series of commemorations and celebrations will also be shown.
Park pointed out that Beijing Forum shows the academic advantages of PKU, and further demonstrates the power of knowledge to the world. In his eyes, the latest theme is closely related to the current international transforming patterns.
Park longed for valuable references from the attending scholars to deal with the changes and challenges of Asia, and of the whole world.
