Peking University, Apr. 15, 2016: On the 15th of April, Premier Li Keqiang visited the main campus of Peking University. The State Council leader spent the afternoonin several locations on school grounds, interacting with renowned scholars at the National School of Development and greeting students and faculty members at the School of Economics as well as touring the Peking University Humanities and Social Sciences exhibition. He also visited the Guanghua School of Management, where he had discussions with the students and faculty members as well as the School of Mathematical Sciences, where there was a discourse on the development of the discipline of pure mathematics. The head of government also chaired a forum on higher education reform and innovation.
Background information:
Premier Li Keqiang is the current Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China and the head of government. He is alumnus and friend of Peking University, obtaining his Bachelor of Law at the Peking University Law School in 1982, and then his Ph. D. in economics at the School of Economics of Peking University.
