Peking University Nov. 30, 2018: On the evening of 18th of November, a commonweal concert ‘Time of Growth’ was held by Peking University Alumni Choir in National Library Arts Center.
The activity was organized by Beijing Sunshine Social Service Center. Since the beginning of 2018, Peking University Alumni Choir has started rehearsing for the occasion. After ten months’ preparation, they presented a wonderful performance for students of Beijing Dandelion Middle School, and the optically challenged kids at Hongdandan Visual Impairment Cultural Service Center.
The performance comprised five chapters: pursuit, compassion, meaningfulness, retreat and recollection. Drawing upon theme music of films such as Lion King, Beauty and Beast, Spirited Away and Big Fish as the main thread, the choir combined childhood memories with popular songs, such as The Moon Represent My Heart and When You Are Old, and touching poetry, such as Tell Me How to Forget Him and The Joy of Snow Flake, which coalesced to delineate the dream, love and hope of youth. At the end of the concert, Peking University Alumni Choir and Beijing Dandelion Middle School Sunshine Female Choir jointly performed Heart of Gratitude as a token of unitedness and of love for the audience.
