PekingUniversity, Beijing, Feb. 16, 2009: On the first day of the new semester, Leaders of the University,including Party Committee Deputy Secretary-General Wu Zhipan, Deputy Executive Vice President Lin Jianhua, Party Committee Secretary-General Yang He, Vice President Zhang Guoyou, arrived first at Peking University’s Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS) followed by the Peking University – Lincoln Institute Center for Urban Development and Land Policy for visiting and research purposes.
The ISSS Center DirectorProf. Qiu Zeqi gave a report of the center’s construction and development, as well as the 2009-2010 schedule and plans for ISSS. The Leaders of the University shared words of encouragement and approval for their work and encouraged the ISSS to gain the support and collaboration from other related departments.
After the meeting at the ISSS center, the leaders moved on to visit the Peking University—Lincoln Institute where the Center’s Director Professor Man Yanyun shared the research findings and achievements of the center since its establishment a year ago. She also gave a detailed report of the research schedule of the following year. In this coming year, the PKU—Lincoln Institute will continue to provide a platform to discuss and share experience in education training and policy research for national and international experts, scholars, policy makers and executers.
After the report from Professor Man Yanyun, the leaders expressed their satisfaction for all the achievements made in the past year, and also gave many constructive suggestions for future work of the Lincoln Institute.

Peking University’s Institute of Social Science Survey (ISSS), established in September, 2006, is one of Peking University’s scientific research teaching facilities. Being the Chinese Family Panel Studies and investigation actuator, Peking University’s ISSS aids the data gathering, organizing and research for both national and international academic and governmental organizations; providing scientific grounds for making and improving China’s Social Economy Policies.

The Peking University – Lincoln Institute Centerfor Urban Development and Land Policy (AKA Peking University—Lincoln Institute) is a Nonprofit research center formed by Peking University and the Lincoln Institute Center of Land Policy. The center’s goal is to provide high quality data analysis aimed specifically towards Chinese land, cities and economic policies to promote better understanding of Chinese and global urbanization, land policies, and property tax ect.
