Peking University, Sep. 27, 2013: Lisa Davis, vice president as well as Chief Information Officer of Georgetown University visited Peking University on September 17th.
This visit focused on the information construction of universities and the further collaboration between PKU and Georgetown University.
PKU Vice President Wang Jie introduced the status quo of PKU before reviewing the inter-university cooperation in the information construction and information technology. Davis highly praised the accomplishment PKU had achieved in recent years and promised to boost common development.
After a campus tour, Davis communicated with technical experts from the Computer Center and exchanged experience in the construction of campus networks, operation management, investment and teaching and research service system. She also shared the CIO management operation mechanism of Georgetown University, and discussed partnership between the two universities.
Background Info: Georgetown University is a private research university in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1789, it is the oldest Jesuit and Catholic university in the United States. Bill Clinton, former President of the United States and Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, former President of the Philippines are Georgetown University alumni.
