Peking University holds its first online career fair

Peking University, March 10, 2020: On March 2, Peking University held its first online career fair in the spring semester of 2020. The event was the first of its kind in the history of Peking University, aiming to offer job opportunities to those who are expected to graduate this semester while avoiding human-to-human contact amid the coronavirus outbreak. The employers of the career fair included dozens of companies under China Electronics Technology Group Corporation (CETC).
Peking University Council Chair Qiu Shuiping spoke highly of CETC’s excellence and expressed his appreciation to their support amid COVID-19 outbreak. Qiu also reassured that the university has taken measures to ensure students’ employability.

Wu Manqing, general manager of CETC, detailed their contributions to some national key projects, ranging from the application of information technologies in the fight against COVID-19 to the National Day military parade. Wu hopes more graduates are willing to join CETC, as Peking University is an important source of high-level talents in the field of electronics technology.
