Peking University, Oct. 27, 2018: On the evening of October 26, the 2018 PKU Qomolangma Expedition report session was held in the Sunshine Hall of Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center, Peking University. Conferees included Wang Dengfeng, director of Department of Physical, Health and Arts Education, Shi Xinming from Communist Youth League of China (CYLC), Wang Yongfeng, vice chairman of Chinese Mountaineering Association, etc.
In the introductory speech, the Qomolangma expedition team of Peking University shared with the audience their three-year preparation for this hard journey. Li Wei, Zhuang Fangdong, Guo Jiaming, and other members reflected on their experience of helping each other and solving problems during the climbing, which showed the united spirit of Peking University.

After that, PKU Council Chairman Qiu Shuiping gave a speech congratulating the expedition team on reaching the summit of Mount Qomolangma. He then praised team members for their strong conviction and prudent preparation. In the end, he thanked those who have supported this expedition with sincerity.

Near the end of the meeting, Chen Baojian, vice president of Peking University, presented prizes to the team members on the commendation ceremony. In return, the expedition team gave Peking University the flag of Shanyin Hiking Club that once fluttered on the summit of Qomolangma as a valuable gift. They also thanked Chinese Mountaineering Association, the teachers and the friends who offered their kind help for the successful expedition.
