Peking University holds Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Students New Year’s Party 2020

Peking University, Dec. 28, 2019: On December 20, the annual Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Students New Year’s Party was held. More than 200 students from Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and the Chinese mainland were in attendance.

Ye Jingyi, vice chair of Peking University Council, extended New Year wishes to faculty members and students. She reviewed their excellent achievements in study, fieldwork and voluntary activities over the past year. In the coming year, Ye hoped students from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan can make constant efforts to strengthen friendship with their Chinese mainland counterparts.

Multiple performances were staged during the event. Freshmen from Macao recited an ode to convey their admiration to the homeland. The event was also spiced with several glamorous musical and dancing performances, showcasing the vigor and enthusiasm of young students at Peking University. Additionally, a blessing video from parents of 38 Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan students was on display, wishing PKUers a brighter future in the New Year.
