Peking University Campus Open Day welcomes prospective students

Peking University, May 22, 2019: Peking University opened its campus to the public on May 18, witnessing a sea of prospective students and parents who flocked to the top-tier academic institution for first-hand admission information.

A number of facilities were accessible to the visitors, including labs, canteens, and libraries. Many schools and administrative departments also set up booths to introduce different aspects of Peking University and answer questions from the public. Teachers and student volunteers carefully explained the admission policies of different majors to the visitors.

At 8 a.m., the Conference on Undergraduates Admission was hosted in Peking University Gymnasium. Gong Qihuang, vice president of PKU, made a speech, highlighting that PKU have set up a series of distinctive interdisciplinary majors and attached great importance to international exchanges. During the Q&A session, representatives of teachers and students share their experiences at Peking University.

The Campus Open Day is held annually. This year, the number of visitors hit a record high, with about 6, 000 people making online appointments in advance.
