Peking University Legal Culture Festival opens

Peking University, April. 1, 2019: Peking University Legal Culture Festival, a renowned event co-organized every spring semester by the Research Center for Law Education of Higher Institution and the Law School of Peking University, kicked off on March 15th.
A variety of activities were held on the spot, attracting teachers and students who passed by. They participated in role-plays and prize-winning quizzes which enriched their legal knowledge particularly in the field of consumer rights protection.

A thought-provoking lecture was also held to mark the Legal Culture Festival, with a theme on “Why home, country and the world are integrated?”. Peking University Law School Professor Zhu Suli, who presented his insights at the lecture, elaborated on the concepts of “home”, “country”, and “the world”. Professor Zhu also iterated the strong ties among these three concepts and extended his anticipations to Law students that numerous factors, e.g. living conditions, natural environment, history and culture, should be taken into account while carrying out research and one should not solely rely on idealism.

In the next few months, Law School of Peking University will be committed to organizing a string of events that revolves around “law”, as part of the efforts to disseminate legal knowledge around the campus and raise legal awareness of of the general public.
