Peking University, Beijing, May 21, 2009: On the afternoon of May 15, President Zhou Qifeng, accompanied by heads of functional departments of the University, paid a visit to the School of International Studies and held a meeting with the staff and faculty representatives of the School.
Dean of the School of International Studies Wang Jisi introduced to the delegation headed by President Zhou about the general information of the School, teaching and research, its features and goals and accordingly proposed some suggestions.
After the visit, President Zhou learned about both the challenges and distinctive features of the School. He hoped that all the functional departments should provide better service to the education and research of the University and all the schools and departments should seize the opportunity to meet the demands of the development strategy of the country, making more contributions to the cultivation of talents and social progress.
