Peking University, Beijing, Nov 16: Dr. Kai-fu Lee shared his experiences of entrepreneurship with potential young entrepreneurs from Peking University on Nov 13, in his lecture "On the Future of Innovation."

Lee, founder and CEO of "Innovation Works," delivered his speech to PKU students, specifically introducing the ideals and missions of his newly-established project that focuses on young entrepreneurs.

Prior to the lecture held by the Chinese Communist Youth League PKU Committee, Dr. Kai-fu Lee met with Zhang Yan, Vice-chairman of PKU Council, and Lv Chenfei, Secretary of PKU Youth League. They have made consensus to promote the entrepreneurial education and improve relevant capabilities such as career planning among university students.

Dr. Lee, who was honored "instructor for students' employment and entrepreneurship" during the meeting, pledged to continue his support for future entrepreneurs from Peking University.

Dr. Lee opposed confining "innovation" only to scientific and technological senses; the "business model innovation" also needs more concern. From three perspectives, timing, geographic advantages and harmony at home ("opportune"), he analyzed the current Chinese market as well as challenges and opportunities of entrepreneurial innovation, encouraging PKU students to be fully prepared for future career markets.

Dr. Lee also interacted with PKU students in the Q&A session after the lecture. He answered questions on various issues - from the innovative activities on campus, to the development of innovative domestic enterprises; from the trend of changes among innovators, to the insight into the educational patterns and ideals. Many students, inspired by Dr. Lee's speech, expressed their ambitions to embrace their "innovative future."

Innovation Works, a business creation platform focused on establishing the next wave of Chinese high-technology companies, was launched in September 2009.

Led by Dr. Lee, Innovation Works pledges to concentrate on Internet, mobile Internet, and cloud computing technology advancements targeted at the Chinese market, and build "dream teams" to collect, analyze, prioritize and execute on the most promising ideas.
