Peking University, Beijing, Nov. 25th, 2008: The team led by Gu Jin, professor of the Parenteral Section II of Tumor Institute, Peking University, published their paper entitled “Initial application experience of hand-assisted laparoscopic radical resection of colorectal cancer”, in the essay collections of National Conference on laparoscopic Surgery (NCLS).
The 11th NCLS, which was recently held by the laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery group of Chinese Medical Association, had attracted about 800 professionals in laparoscope and endoscope around the country.
They had a positive discussion on the development of laparoscopic surgery in China in the conference, and came to a conclusion that with the past 20 years of research and development, laparoscopic surgery had made significant development in the field of gallbladder disease, gastrointestinal diseases, thyroid disease and would play a directional and inspiring role in the future development of the surgery.
