Peking University, January 26, 2021: Three new volumes of "Ma Zang," which roughly translates to "Treasure of Marxism," a Peking University-led major academic and cultural project on the formation and development of Marxism, have been published by Beijing-based Science Press.
Totaling 11 books and 1.8 million Chinese characters, the newly-unveiled volumes are the sixth, seventh and eighth volumes of the first part of "Ma Zang."
The latest publications mark a new achievement in the project's endeavor to bring about a relatively complete collection of Marxism research literature worldwide by collecting and compiling literature works related to the evolution of Marxism.
The first five volumes of part one of the academic project were unveiled in May 2019.
The "Ma Zang" project is comprised of four parts. Part one is books and translated works, part two contains papers and articles, part three includes reports, archives, notes and letters, and the fourth part has relevant literature on the Communist Party of China.
So far, eight volumes of the project's first part have been published, boasting 39 books and translated works from 1894 to 1904 and 5.5 million words. The related works, some of which have been unveiled for the first time, are important literature on the spread of Marxism in China in its initial stage.
