Abstract: This presentation will discuss suggestions for increasing productivity and time management in accomplishing scientific manuscript writing. Issues will be discussed including the importance of using checklists in planning and executing data analysis, whether to conduct data analysis before or after manuscript preparation, use of cheat sheets and note-taking for data analysis education, model mapping and drawing, preserving computational resources for more efficient computer use when writing, behavioral and environmental strategies to increase focus when manuscript writing, use of outlines when writing, organizing a corpus of literature into a digestible spreadsheet, bibliographic management software, and manuscript word length.


Speaker’s Bio: Doctor Elhai now serves as Professor in the University of Toledo's Department of Psychology (primary appointment) and Department of Psychiatry (joint appointment), in Toledo, Ohio. He also serves as a Thousand Talents Foreign Professor through Tianjin Normal University. Doctor Elhai conducts research on psychological trauma and PTSD. He also conducts research on cyberpsychology. He has published more than 200 papers - primarily empirical studies. He has presented his research at meetings of such organizations as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies, Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies, and Society for Computers in Psychology. He is Editorial Board Member for several journals. He has published several books on traumatic stress.
