PKU Sixth Hospital Receives a Delegation from Heidelberg University and University of Freiburg

Peking University, Dec. 20, 2017: A German delegation visited the Peking University Sixth Hospital on November 23, and joined their local colleagues in the China-Germany Seminar on Psychosomatic Medicine in the afternoon. The delegation was composed of ten scholars from the Heidelberg University and the University of Freiburg. Topics discussed on the seminar included “psychosomatic medicine in China”, “inpatient treatment of anxiety, depression, somatoform disorder, eating disorder and personality disorder”, “practicalities in running psychotherapy clinics (length of sessions, frequency and payment)”, and “family therapy provided by psychotherapy clinics”.
After the seminar, the delegation visited the hospital’s general ward No. 3, ward of clinical psychology, and the children’s ward. This visit is expected to enhance mutual understanding and pave the way for further cooperation.
