Peking University March 13, 2017: On the morning of Feb 27th, Richard H. Brodhead, president of Duke University, along with Liu Jingnan, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) and Denis Simone, Standing Vice President of Duke University, paid a visit to PKU. PKU Council Chairman Hao Ping, Vice President Li Yansong and Dean of Yancheng Academy,Yuan Ming warmly welcomed them at Linhuxuan.

Hao Ping highly praised the great effort made by Duke University to build Duke Kunshan University, which is a successful case of Chinese-foreign Cooperative Education. He mentioned that Peking University is now striving for the construction of Double First-Rate and progressing educational reform, and we are willing to seek for future cooperation with Duke University. Looking back at history of the construction of Duke Kunshan University, President Richard expressed his hope of the future cooperation between the two prestigious universities, and hope that Chairman Hao can continue support the development of Duke Kunshan University.

Afterwards, PKU President Lin Jianhua met the delegation at the President Office. He pointed out that Duke University, as one of the top universities in the United States and throughout the world, has notion and globalized view, which is beneficial for PKU’s educational reform. President Lin looks forward to the future cooperation between the two universities.
