Peking University, Beijing, July 22, 2010: Attended by some 500 outstanding youths in total in 10 years, the 17-day 10th China Synergy Program for Outstanding Youth has successfully ended in Beijing. As the secretariat of this year’s program, Peking University undertook all the preparatory and organizational work and appointed one teacher and one student representative to participate in the whole event.

On the evening of July 20, celebration gala for the 10th China Synergy Program for Outstanding Youth was held in Beijing Hotel, attended by Mr. Zhou Tienong, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the NPC, Ms. You Lantian, Vice Minister of United Front Work Department of CPC Central Committee and Vice- President of China Overseas Friendship Association, Ms. Liang Guozhen, the initiator of the program as well as representatives from universities and industry and trade at home and abroad. Representatives of the 500 outstanding youths gave a wonderful show for honored guests at the banquet.

In his speech, Prof. Li Yansong, Deputy Head of the delegation of the program and Vice President of Peking University, attached great importance to China Synergy Program in deepening overseas youths’ understanding of Chinese culture and modern China and in reinforcing the sense of national identity. Moreover, he said that Peking University would continuously support this program, contributing to improving communication between China and the rest of the world.

On the morning of July 20, Mr. Long Yongtu gave a presentation on the process and prospect of China’s peaceful development from the perspectives of interior and exterior forces of economic development and answered the questions raised by the youths present at the meeting.

 
The 10th China Synergy Program for Outstanding Youth

On July 18 and 19, the 10th Synergy program was held in Yingjie Exchange Center, Peking University. All the members of 10 years reviewed the growth of China Synergy Program and discussed in depth how to better develop enterprises with China’s rapid development through lectures and forums.
