EECS PhD candidate selected as “Outstanding Postgraduate“

Peking University, Oct. 18, 2012: The Lu Jiaxi Science and Education Foundation in Fujian has recently announced its annual awards of 2012. This year, there are 5 outstanding supervisors as well as 20 graduate students on the list.

 

Mr. Zhang Xiaosheng, a doctoral candidate from the School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Peking University (PKU), is awarded for his research on the processing and applications of large-area micro/nano composite structures.

 

Background Info:

 

Mr. Lu Jiaxi was the pioneer and founder of China‘s structural chemistry, who devoted himself to scientific research and education for more than 60 years. In 1981, he was elected as president of the Chinese Academy of sciences (CAS).

 

The Lu Jiaxi Science and Education Foundation in Fujian established the "Chemistry Award", "Outstanding Supervisor Award" and "Outstanding Postgraduate Award" after Mr. Lu in order to carry forward his spirit of science as well as to further promote the development of China’s science and education.
