Peking University, June 14, 2017: The Peking University men’s basketball team won the championship at the 19th China University Basketball Association (CUBA) national finals.

PKU won with a score of 81:68 against the Central South University of Changsha, China. Yao Ming, the former NBA Houston Rockets star and the current Chairman of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), personally awarded the championship to the PKU team.

This is in fact the second time for the PKU team to take the CUBA championship. PKU previously took the crown in 2014.
