First of all, PKU Council Chairman Hao Ping extended a warm welcome to the delegation from Hunan Province. He recalled the time when both sides jointly strived to build Changsha Temporary University during the Second World War. He pointed out that it is now a critical stage for the development of both Peking University and Hunan Province.
