Peking University, Sep 1st: On August 29th, 2016, Peking University Shenzhen Campus construction signing ceremony was held in Guangzhou. Peking University and Shenzhen government will work together to construct PKUSZ. Member of the Political Bureau of CPC Central Committee, Guangdong Provincial Secretary Hu Chunhua, Shenzhen Municipal Party Secretary Ma Xingrui, Chair of Peking University Council Zhushanlu, PKU President Lin Jianhua were presented.
The ceremony
On the ceremony, Zhu Shanlu highlighted that the Shenzhen Campus Construction would greatly combine PKU’s academic advantage with Shenzhen’s special economic zone and industry feature. It would not only provide significant intelligent support for Guangdong’s development but also work as a leading pilot site for colleges and universities’ education reform, especially in medical education.

Ma Xingrui expressed their thanks for Peking University’s long-term support for Shenzhen and Guangdong’s development. He indicated Shenzhen would do its best to provide service logistic support to make PKU Shenzhen Campus bigger and stronger.
