Peking University, May, 7, 2012: On May 4th, "Yuan Yong Xing Hua" karaoke competition, jointly organized by the Student Unions of Guanghua School of Management and Yuanpei College, was rounded off on the balcony of the new building of Guanghua. Altogether, 16 groups of contestants from the two schools participated in the competition.  

The competition came at the Youth Day, the 114th anniversary of the founding of PKU. The opening performance was a mixed singing of songs by students from the two schools. Then, a self-made micro-film called "There I will be" was played. It was a love story between a boy from Guanghua and a girl form Yuanpei. All of the contestants were full of passion and vigor. They had perfectly displayed their talent in singing and dancing. Songs like "Seven lonely days" "Beautiful love" "I want it that way" etc. were very impressive. Everyone present had enjoyed a feast for their ears and eyes and had spent a fabulous musical night.

Another major theme for that night was "graduation". Among the contestants and audience, many of them came from the senior grade. Before the awarding ceremony, the students gave many excellent performances with various forms.  

The two schools of Guanghua and Yuanpei had forged a profound friendship through this grand activity. Through the competition, so many gifted PKU students popped up. Just as a saying goes, "for truly great man, look to this age alone."
