PKU greets international students in 2012 Spring
Feb 19, 2012

Peking University, Feb. 19, 2012: After two weeks’ preparation, Peking University (PKU)’s two-day greeting for international students in 2012 Spring semester was coming to an end. By February 10th, about 280 international students from 19 countries and regions had registered.

There were many innovative highlight spots in this semester’s registration for international students. To improve efficiency, this year’s registration sheets were printed when the students came to register, which saved the time spent seeking for the printed sheets in previous years. Office of International Students prepared the students cards for international students beforehand, which provided convenience for their life on campus. And the students’ choices for extra-curricular activities had been collected before they registered. In this way, the according consultation for those extra-curricular activities could be offered as they registered. Meanwhile, share of information was realized in this year’s registration. Students only needed to fill out the form for their personal information once and thus the information can be shared among the volunteer team, the international students’ troupe and the recruitment for language partners.
