Scott Beaumont, Google Greater China President, delivers a Speech at PKU

 Peking University, Sept.23, 2017: On the evening of September 20, 2017, Scott Beaumont, Google Greater China president, delivered a speech entitled "AlphaGo & AI for Everyone" at PKU Global Center for Student Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the invitation of PKU School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science. More than 400 people attended the event.

Scott Beaumont started the speech with the innovation and inspiration that AlphaGo brought to Go, and then talked about the great improvement that neural network machine translation has brought to Google translation, open source machine learning framework --TensorFlow, and cutting-edge artificial intelligence technology's application in the medical field. "Only with the innovative, open attitude and spirit to meet the changes brought by artificial intelligence, can you create and realize your dreams in this fast-growing era", he inspired the students at present.

After the speech, students asked questions actively, which fully demonstrated PKU students' deep concern and thinking about artificial intelligence. Scott Beaumont answered questions and encouraged students to explore the cutting-edge technology and world with innovative spirit and enthusiasm.

Besides, Scott Beaumont, accompanied by Professor Wang Yizhou and Professor Zhang Ming, made in-depth exchanges with students from the first "Turing Class" of PKU School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science.
