Peking University, April 4, 2017: On the afternoon of March 31, 2017, under the guidance of the Youth Internet Development Association, a group of more than 50 PKU students visited Huawei Beijing Institute in Zhongguancun. As a leading Chinese company, Huawei focuses on providing information and communication technology solutions. With a number of cutting-edge technologies, Huawei is the embodiment of independent innovation and global operation, and was named one of the world’s top 100 valuable brands in 2016.

Huawei's staff led the students to visit the latest product portfolio. Technology on display included a sport watch connected to a mobile phone, an intelligent home remote control and a large data center stored in cloud computing. They learned that Huawei's current business is divided into three sectors: enterprise business, carrier business and consumer business. The company has taken a lead in developing the 5G technology. The students also learned about a ‘smart parking system’ under development by Huawei.

In the conference room on the second floor of the exhibition center, Huawei's PKU alumni held an in-depth discussion with the visiting students. Alumni from front-line business units talked about the Huawei business philosophy and working atmosphere. They encouraged students to uphold their beliefs and prepare themselves for their career prospects.
