Peking University, Nov. 20, 2012: The 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC) concluded on November 14. Professor Zhu Shanlu, Chairman of PKU Council, was elected an alternate member of the 18th CPC Central Committee.

Professor Zhu Shanlu was born in Shenyang, Liaoning Province, in November 1953. He started working in September 1968, and became a communist in July 1978. In July 1983, Zhu graduated from Department of Philosophy, PKU, with a Bachelor’s Degree. Zhu began to serve as a delegate of CPC since the 16th National Congress.
