2010 Shanda Campus Festival Enters Peking University

Peking University, Beijing, May 21, 2010: The opening ceremony and the first lecture of 2010 Shanda Campus Festival co-organzied by Shanda Interactive Entertainment Limited (SNDA) and PKU Cultural Industries Association (PCIA) was held in PKU Yingjie Overseas Exchange Center on the evening of May 18.

 

In order to provide a platform for the students to exhibit their talents and promote the SNDA brand, SNDA opens 2010 China University Festival, which mainly consists of five competitions on campus and eleven career-oriented forums held by Shanda's elites.

 

During the competition, tasks for PKU students present included “How to get to SNDA HQ from Beida.” Attendants came up with answers quickly, and a student from PKU School of Arts won the first place and became a student counselor of 2010 Shanda Campus Festival.

 

Mr. Hou Xiaoqiang, CEO of Shanda Literature, introduced Shanda Literature’s plan towards Chinese literature, especially Chinese Internet literature, to the students. The idea of setting up Shanda Literature, he said, stemmed from his dream of enabling literature appeal to people and their life. He hoped that Shanda Literature would provide the best platform for the development of online literature and thus contribute to the prosperity of new literature.

 

Prof. Chen Shaofeng, Vice Dean of PKU Institute for Cultural Industries (ICIPKU), had a dialogue with Mr. Hou Xiaoqiang. Through the confrontation of their opinions, the audience understood better of Shanda Literature’s place in the business operation of SNDA, as Mr. Hou termed, “Literature is the beginning of everything.”

 

After the lecture, 2010 Shanda Campus Festival will be held in other universities all over the country, which aimes at benefiting college students in both knowledge and career experiences.
