Enjoy your reading in Yan Yuan spring——here comes the World Book Day Activity Season!
Peking University, April 13, 2015: Blossom season on campus, sweetest time for reading. Varied activities will be carried out at Peking University Library for the upcoming World Book Day! Just come and join us!
Date: April 3 to May 31, 2015
Venue: the Sunshine Hall, North Wing Hall, Exhibition Hall of the East Building, Media Commons at Peking University Library, etc.
PKU Reading Lectures: Start from April 10, famous scholars including Xin Deyong, Bi Feiyu, Shu Yi and Zhu Liangzhi are invited to give wonderful speeches to PKU students. We sincerely invite your attention.
2014 Seclected Book List and "Reading Books, Faces and Hearts" Photography Exhibition: From April 22, 50 classical books are selected to be on show at PKU Library Sunshine Hall. The books selected are on the bestseller lists or recommended by presidents from 14 well-known universities. There is also a splendid photography exhibition for you to appreciate.
2014 Weiming Reading Stars: The award ceremony will be held along with the PKU Reading Lecture on April 23. Weiming Reading Stars will be awarded a series of books written by the lecturer (probably the famous writer Bi Feiyu) with his signature on it. Preferential policy of borrowing books will also be offered as a special prize for the Stars.
Books Exchange Fair: The Fair will be held from April 17 to 18. Pick out your idle books or magazines and exchange for the counterparts you want. Welcome especially the seniors–leave your wonderful books for PKU and for the right one (special gifts available).
"Offline Study": This special activity is held together with PKU Youth Studies. On the 17th of each month, please come to the library, let go of your smartphone, enjoy the tranquil period of time and immerse yourself into deep reading.
Classical Movie Show: At the end of April, the library will show biographical inspirational movies in accordance with the Selected Book List. Enjoy the movies at Media Commons in the library.
