KFAS President Park In-kook visits PKU

Peking University, May 10, 2013: Park In-kook, President of Korea Foundation for Advanced Studies (KFAS), co-sponsor of Beijing Forum, paid a visit to PKU on May 6th.

“Beijing Forum showed the academic advantages of Peking University, and further demonstrated the power of knowledge to the world.” Park In-kook greatly appreciated the efforts and outstanding achievements of Peking University in hosting Beijing Forum.

The theme of Beijing Forum this year is "The Harmony of Civilizations and Prosperity for All -- Retrospect and Prospect". In Park’s eyes, it not only reflects the transition characteristic of the current international pattern, but also fits with the commemorative significance of Beijing Forum’s 10th anniversary. He believed that the discussion and opinion collision in the forum would provide valuable reference to Asia and even the world in response to current changes and challenges.

Despite the academic activities, commemoration and celebration will also be covered this year. During the talk, both sides also exchanged views on aspects of guest invitation, panel designing as well as the digitalization of the forum.

The 10th annual meeting of Beijing Forum will be held in Beijing from November 1 to 3, 2013, hoping to gather global wisdom to sum up the historical enlightenment in retrospect and explore prospects in the future.
